For I was hungry and you gave me food? Matthew 25:35-40

This was a heart touching picture I saw today on the social network. It made me realize how much ignorant most of us are to other people's problem. We always focus on the wrong things, and we are never thankful. If God has a heart for the needy ones so must we all have one for them. Have you ever taught that if each of us contribute then we will solve most of our problems?

Knowing and reading about the problems help to think about solutions. The main issue as far as I see is lack of awareness to begin with. Millions starve in the world, more than 270,000 children are at risk of death because of hunger in Ethiopia. Do you prey for the ones who have no food? Do you do what you can to help solve this problems? For at the end of the day, God will never question how much food you cocked for dinner, it would be For I was hungry and did you give me food? Mathew 25:35.

If each Ethiopian Orthodox Sunday school has a charity work and began project to help the needy ones, it would automatically solve most of our problematic questions. But we are too busy and focused on other things.... If anything I am the first to blame, however to donate for any organization that helps the needy ones or establish organizations as much as possible would solve this problems. One day with the help of God, we will get this and wipe away  tears from many children. There is nothing that is not possible for God and with the help of God if we establish better systems, we can definitely reach out to many. I want to encourage you today to donate to any charity organization you believe on, or go ahead and start smaller project to reach out the ones in need.

Volunteering would help reach out some one In need. You don't know who you are going to touch in life with kindness and change their life. Maybe we can all start volunteer to different non profit organizations and make a little difference in someone else life. Of course helping individuals will change the world for the better too.

People are often unreasonable and self centered, forgive them anyway, If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives Be kind anyway. If you are honest, people may cheat, Be honest anyway, If you find happiness, people may be jealous, but be happy anyway. The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow, do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. That was Mother Teresa. Yep we are nothing compared to the problem of the world, but we can still give our best and leave the rest for God. He will handle it.
Nehemiah 9:27 ...But when they were oppressed they cried out to you. From heaven you heard them, and in your great compassion you gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies. Of course, the key to the gate of heaven, helping the ones In need.

On this specific day we remember Saint Sanusi from the city of Balkim who became a martyr. This young man used to look after his father's sheep. He used to give food to the shepherdess each day and he fast until the evening. The angel of God told him to go to the governor and confess thy God and he would receive the crown of the martyrdom. After he has done that this holy saint has been tourchered because he confessed about God and received the crown of martyrdom in the kingdom of heaven. we learn a lot from his charity and kind works and how God choose him for this because he was a kind man who helped others. And then righteousness was accounted unto him forever. And verily in like manner have the martyrs rejected the desire of this world and poured out their blood for God and have endured bitter death for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. HYMN PRAISE FOR THE FIFTH DAY OF THE WEEK (THURSDAY).

Back to where we have started do you have the answer for this, For I was hungry and you gave me food by the Lord, I still don't have the answer to that or truly I would not know what I would say. May the Almighty Help us all to assist the ones in need. AMEN.
